The beginning

    Wing Chun (Chinese: 咏 春; pinyin: yong Chun; Cantonese Yale: wihng cheun), romanised as Ving Tsun or Wing Tsun,  is a concept-based Chinese martial art and form of self-defense utilising both striking and grappling and specialising in real combat.

The alternative characters 永春  which may translates  like  ''eternal spring '' are  associated with other southern Chinese martial arts  -  Weng Chun Kungfu and White Crane Weng Chun .The earliest known mentions of Wing Chun date to the period of the Red Boat Opera.The overall story told by Yip Man  include  the young woman Yim Wing Chun - (Wing Chun literally means " eternal spring " too )  after the destruction of the Southern Shaolin Temple and its associated temples by of the Qing government .

After Wing Chun - put off marriage offer local chief, she said she would reconsider his proposal if he can beat her in battle. She soon crossed paths with a Buddhist nun - Ng Mui, who was one of the Shaolin's survivors , and asks the nun to teach her to fight. Legend has it that Ng Mui taught Yim Wing - Chun a new system of martial art that was inspired by observations Ng Mui . Then this still nameless style enabled Yim Wing Chun to beat the commander in battle one - on-one .After Chun married Leung Bac - Chou and teaches him the style , which was later named after her.Since the system was developed during the Shaolin and Ming resistance to the Qing Dynasty. Many legends about the creator of Wing Chun were spread maybe to confuse enemies -  the story of Yim Wing Chun too. 

The main characteristic of this fighting style is particularly effective in close combat and is characterized by economical movements, stable positions and practical considerations in its techniques are built on iron logic.

Four principles of the fight :
First principle :              If the way is clear - attack
Second principle :         If you make contact -   stay closer
Third principle :             If an attacker exert pressure - step back
Fourth principle :           If the attacker retreated - follow the

Four principles of the force :
First principle :                Get rid of your own power
Second principle :           Get rid of the opponent's strength
Third principle :               Use the power of the opponent
Fourth principle :             Add your own strength
